color that gives warmth and gentleness wherever it is found and has healing qualities
corresponding to nature. It is restful and calming and gives balance and stability.
Nature abounds in the color green with the promise of spring. The environment
of nature affects the atmosphere and the senses to invigorate every part of the
home.
The green foliage used for landscaping gives ample space
to exhibit this color and its use in the external aspects of the home can be minimized.
Things such as railings, lampposts, urns, benches, pavers and pergolas
can be garbed in green as they can carry it off in style. Green and its shades playa

alternate with green marble or jade for a resplendent effect. A green sloping roof
with slate or clay tiles will complement the colors that are below. Garden furniture,
window frames, grills, stairways, doors, and trellises go well with green to
give an aesthetic delight.
Inside the home there are endless opportunities to use the
color green. So care should be taken not to over-indulge it. Indoor plants bring
freshness of the outdoors into the home. Furnishings, upholstery and drapes can
come in various shades and combinations making the interior pleasing. Any space
looks more welcoming with this color. Other colors can be subtly contrasted to increase
its appeal. Combining a green floor mat with a wooden floor or green drapes
with a textured wall in pastel shades will reflect designer qualities. Beige
and cream can be used to do up the room and green can be used as a contrast to
the vertical facade. To go with this pastel artwork and wall hangings will give
it a right focus.
