These can either be painted or stained. Staircase can be carved and decorated in various ways. well turned wood posts and carved finials give an exquisite finish to the staircase. Added to this latticed wood screens serve as elegant partitions in living spaces. Fireplace mantels, door panels and traditionally carved doors are extremely popular. When it comes to accessories, there is a wide range of carved sandalwood deities and figurines and antique collections such as filigree boxes, table lamps, desktop chest sets, carved animals, lintels, wall brackets etc. These accessories are sometimes painted with vibrant colours and displaced in rural handicrafts.
